The Heart of the Matter

Hypothetical:

Your child receives a heart transplant and your extended family wants to know where the heart came from and what the age of the person was that donated the heart. Is this necessary info in the whole scheme of things? Why or why not?

  1. I don't think it is. I would ask for prayers for the family who lost their loved one and pray that they would know what an amazing gift our family had been given.

  2. Necessary? No - but, it never hurts to ask if one is curious. Your hypothetical begs the question...what kind of extended family do you have? Are they just curious? Is their heart going out to said family & they want to know more about the family that has donated something so precious? Or perhaps your extended family is a bit to nosey parker & wants to know in a goulish kind of way? I know my response to finding out & then giving away such personal information would depend alot on who is asking in my family.
