well, are we talking home made fruit roll ups? what about just fruit? I go to the store every day or two just to buy fruit. Real fruit. the kind that grows on trees and vines and bushes.
That's twisted! Truth is I had to hunt for a long time to find either fruit snacks OR fruit roll-ups that actually had FRUIT in them. For a while there it was just fruit leathers until Fruit Roll-Ups came out with their "simply" variety. The only fruit snacks we eat are Gummy Bunnies and these weird little nugget things that are strangely addictive. :-/ All of this for my ONE kid who refuses every fruit in its original form except bananas and apples. Sigh.
Brownie, i have a kid (now 17) that will eat apples and grapes. and no fruit snacks/rollups/leather of any kind. So, it's applesauce and apples and grapes for him. The other one (11) eats almost every kind of fruit. I just don't buy the rollups etc. anymore. I got tired of finding them in my couch and underfoot all day long... I'm pretty convinced the cats used them as hockey pucks.

ReplyDeleteThe original overheard was referencing store bought fruit roll ups and store bought fruit snacks.
ReplyDeleteYou know. The kind not made out of fruit at all.
